Continuing Education Scholarships Available To GHS Alumni

The Gibbon Educational Foundation will be awarding several scholarships again to Gibbon Alumni for the 2018-2019 school year. Applications are now available under the Students Tab (2018 Scholarships Link) or click here for guidelines and the application: GEF Continuing Education Scholarships. The deadline for submitting an application is June 1.

Old Yearbooks Available For Sale

High school yearbooks from 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 are available for sale at reduced prices. These may be purchased in the high school office. The 2014-2015 yearbooks are $10 and the 2015-2016 are $35.

Continuing Education Scholarship Opportunity

scholarshipThe Gibbon Education Association is awarding a $500 Continuing Education Scholarship to a college junior or senior who is pursuing a degree in education. The guidelines and application can be found under the Scholarship tab at the top of this page. The deadline for submitting an application is August 5, 2016.

Homecoming Week Upon Us

Dress up days for Homecoming Week are as follows: Monday — Twin Day; Tuesday — Fake Injury Day; Wednesday — Class Color Day; Thursday — Favorite Celebrity Day; Friday — School Spirit Day.

Activities planned for the week: Monday — Pep Rally at 3:00; Wednesday — Power Puff Volleyball, Olympic Activities, and Powder Puff Football from 2:00 – 3:26; Friday — Football game vs Bridgeport 7:00 pm Kickoff; Saturday — Homecoming Dance 9:00 – midnight; Royalty Coronation — 10:00 pm.

GEA Scholarship Awarded

scholarshipThe Gibbon Education Association awarded a $500 Continuing Education Scholarship to a Gibbon graduate who is majoring in education. This year’s recipient was Kate Baker, a 2013 graduate. Kate attends UNK and plans to be an English Language Arts teacher.

Continuing Education Scholarship Opportunity

A new continuing education scholarship is being offered by the GEA (Gibbon Education Association) for GHS graduates who are juniors or seniors in college majoring in Education. The scholarship is a $500 scholarship. Applications are available online by clicking on the Students tab and selecting Scholarship Info at the top of this web page. Applications are due back by August 7 to Mrs. Neubauer, the high school guidance counselor.

Scrappin’ with Friends Feb. 6, 7, 8 FCCLA
