Gibbon Volleyball Tournament Saturday

Gibbon is hosting a 4-team round robin tournament this Saturday, September 16, beginning at 9 a.m. The four teams competing are Gibbon, Burwell, Southern Valley, and Centura. Gibbon will play Burwell in the first game at 9:00, followed by Southern Valley in their second, and Centura in their final game. All Gibbon games will be played in the south gym (high school gym). Time Change Loup City Volleyball Tournament

The start time for the Loup City Volleyball Invitational scheduled for Saturday, October 21, has been moved up to 10:00 a.m. This is a change to the school calendar.

Girls Golf Dual Cancelled

The girls golf dual with Kearney Catholic scheduled on September 21 has been cancelled and will not be re-scheduled.

Volleyball Scrimmage

There will be a volleyball scrimmage on Thursday, August 24, at 6:00 pm. Please come to support your favorite volleyball player.  The Gibbon Booster Club will be taking sports drinks at the door for an entry fee to the event and will be able to collect the annual membership fee at this time as well.  GO BUFFS!!

Football Scrimmage

The football scrimmage is scheduled for Friday, August 18, at 7:00 pm. The Gibbon Booster Club will be collecting sports drinks for an entry fee to the event. They will also be able to collect the annual membership fee at this time.  Thank you for supporting our athletes. GO BUFFS!!

State Track Qualifiers

Congratulations to the state track qualifiers: (Girls) Jade Bentley–Triple Jump, 3200 M Relay; Kaylee Palmieri–800 M Run, 3200 M Relay; Maliyah Rivera–3200 M Relay; Miranda Smith–High Jump, 3200 M Relay; Parker Kenton–(alternate) 3200 M Relay; (Boys) Nathan Holcomb–1600 M Run and 3200 M Run! The state meet is held at Burke Stadium in Omaha on Friday and Saturday, May 19-20. Class C begins Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. and continues on Saturday. District Track Schedule of Events

Gibbon will compete in the C-9 District Track Meet today–May 11. Field events begin at 10:00 a.m. and running events begin at 1:00 pm. Click here for the complete list and order of events — C9 District Track and Field Schedule. Good luck to all the athletes competing.

Soccer Team Qualifies for State

Congratulations to the Gibbon (Avi, Anayeli, Marina,  and Fatima) and Kearney Catholic girls soccer team for defeating Waverly in the sub-state game on Saturday by a score of 2-0! With the win, the team qualified for the State Soccer Championships as the 7th seed. The game will be played at Creighton University – Morrison Stadium on Friday May 12, at 3:00 pm versus Columbus Scotus. Congratulations and good luck, girls!

Jr. High Track Meet Cancelled

The Loup City Jr. High Track Meet scheduled for tomorrow, May 2, has been cancelled.

Central Nebraska Track Championship Qualifiers

Congratulations to the track athletes who qualified for the Central Nebraska Track Championships which will be held at Grand Island Northwest (today) Monday, April 24–Jade Bentley, Parker Kenton, Kaylee Palmieri, Maliyah Rivera, Miranda Smith, Chase Smith and Nathan Holcomb. Good luck!

Ron Priebe Invitational Track Meet

Gibbon Public Schools hosted the Ron Priebe Gibbon Track Invitational on Thursday, April 20, beginning with field events starting at 1:00 pm.  This Track Meet was livestreamed by the Media Production students on Buffs LIVEstream.

All-Conference Basketball Selections

Star Relays Location

The varsity track meet hosted by Kearney Catholic on Friday, March 24, will be held at Horizon Middle School, the former Kearney High School track.

The varsity track meet scheduled at Kearney Catholic will be held on Friday, March 24th–not Thursday.  This is a change to what appears on the school calendar.

LPC All-Conference Wrestling Team

Boys Sub-District Basketball

Tunnel Walk For State Wrestlers

There will be a tunnel walk for the state wrestling qualifiers and coaches on Thursday, February 16, prior to their departure to Omaha. The wrestlers will meet in the commons area at 8:45 a.m. and go down the elementary wing first and then proceed to the high school side. The public is welcome.
