On the last day of school the 7-12th graders celebrated their technology successes with a culminating awards show in the auditorium. Great job GPS students!
On April 14th, Gibbon Elementary participated in the Regional Invention Convention held at ESU 10 in Kearney. The students representing our school were Daniela Corona, Marlene Avina, Taylor Schubauer, Allissa Bailey, Zoe Anderson, and Gelsy Rivas. The girls all put in long hours after school to complete their inventions and to perfect their presentations prior to the event. Daniela Corona and Marlene Avina’s invention, “The Lipanical”, a mechanical pencil and lip balm in one, received at first place medal. Congratulations to all of the participants, they did an excellent job representing Gibbon!
The Gibbon Education Association Scholarship application is available and has been added to the list of scholarships under the Students tab. The deadline for submitting this application is April 23 by 3:30 pm.
The Gibbon Boosters Scholarship is now available. Applications are due Friday, April 17, by 3:30 pm. Applications are posted under Scholarship Info of the Students tab.
The Gibbon Educational Foundation (GEF) Continuing Education scholarship application has been posted under the Students (Scholarship Info) tab at the top of this page. These scholarships are open to any graduate of Gibbon High School who is planning to continue their education. The application deadline is June 5, 2015.
The Gibbon Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, the PEO Scholarship and the Etta Smith Scholarship for seniors have been added to the list. All available scholarships with deadlines can be found under the Students tab (Scholarship Info).
The Gibbon Fine Arts Booster Club Scholarship and the Dale E. Wrede Scholarship application have been posted for the graduating seniors. Check each application for due dates and submission requirements. All available scholarships are listed under the Students “Scholarship Info” tab at the top of this page.
Join the FCCLA members on February 6, 7, and 8 for a weekend of Scrappin’ with Friends! All proceeds will got to the American Cancer Society. Download this PDF to register for this event! Hope to see you there!
