Red Ribbon Week

This year’s theme for Red Ribbon Week was “SWAG”, Students Who Achieve Goals. The Ambassadors helped the K-3 students learn that there are other ways to have fun that do not include the use of durgs or alcohol and played games to help reinforce this. The “Dance Off” winners were: Mrs. Brown’s class, 1st place; Mrs. Lucas’s class, 2nd place; and Mrs. Kluever’s class, 3rd place. The “coloring contest” 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners were–Kindergarten: Christian Raymundo, Lillyan Schmidt, and Katie Flores; 1st grade: Nora Johnson, Jacob Luft, and Anahi Tamayo; 2nd grade: HaiLeigh Holder, Christina Gutierrez, and Ivan Tamayo; 3rd grade: Keely Biegler, Kimber Hawkinson, and Ximena Urbina. Red Ribbon Week ended with a drug-free parade down the elementary hallway and through the commons.
